 Summer came upon the Struna family in a whirlwind of events.

 June began with Michael, our youngest, graduating from Nauset Regional High School with honors, awards and several scholarships.

We are very proud of him and continue to be so as he readies himself to attend University of Massachusetts Amherst. He will study Fine Arts and design on a track towards becoming an architect.

After graduation, we celebrated at a local restaurant. (beginning left, Tim, Heather, Mike, Eric and Annie)

The day after Mike graduated, Tim and I left for Alaska to visit Timmy, his wife Jennifer and grandaughter Casey.

Of course, there was always time for hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles at Casey's  favorite chocolate cafe'.

We arrived home the last week in June to celebrate the Fourth of July. Here we are at Struna Galleries Chatham, (Heather's Gallery) getting ready to watch the parade. Michael was also there taking our picture.

Scotty and Carly are busy planning their wedding for 2011 on Cape Cod. More details will be finalized now that Carly has graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master of Arts in Learning Technologies.

Annie is home for the summer and working 40 hours a week. She will be returning to the University of Massachusetts Lowell as a senior in the fall, where she is a Fine Arts major.    Besides being on the Dean's List for 2009-2010, she still finds the time to spend with Eric, the love of her life, enjoying the beaches on Cape Cod.

Even though we were gone for most of June, Tim was very productive before we left and continues to create beautiful paintings. This new Acrylic on Linen is 20 x 24 inches. "Marsh at Rock Harbor" gives you a glimpse of the beauty of Cape Cod. It is a favorite place of ours in Orleans.  We walk there in the mornings or evenings with our beagle Mac.

The original watercolor, "After The Harvest, Before The Pie" was selected for the Ohio Watercolor Society's Annual Exhibit.

A giclee reproduction has been added to the website from Tim's original watercolor, In and Out.

 "Waiting For September" is an acrylic on linen and new for the season. It is 11 x 14 inches and on display in Struna Galleries-Chatham.
